Another issue with the 1995 Roadmaster Estate Wagon, sometimes when turning from one expressway to another at 50 mph or above, the steering effort will change from normal to very light and then return to normal. The car has the center link with steering damper and it also has speed sensitive steering. I am not sure how the speed sensitive steering works, or if that is related to the feel I get through the steering wheel. Car has 176000 miles and sat in my garage from the fall of 2004 until May of 2009.

My Dad has a Olds with that same steering sensor. He had some problems with it to. Had to change out the sensor and things were better for him.

do you know where the sensor is located? Is it tied into the cruise control or speedometer in some way? Thanks! Tim

I don't have the book with me, but I do think the sensor is on the rack down low on one end of the rack tube. Could be All wrong though. I don't think that sensor is tied in in any way to the speedo or cruise.
